Objective: This project aims to explore the critical aspects of digital security within online safekeeping systems, using Safe Custodian as a case study. It will focus on key security technologies and methodologies that ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of client data and digital assets.
Key Areas of Focus:
- Encryption Techniques: Analyzing how encryption can be used to protect sensitive data, both at rest and in transit, to prevent unauthorized access or breaches.
- User Authentication: Examining the importance of multi-factor authentication (MFA), biometric authentication, and strong password policies to enhance account security.
- Data Integrity and Backup: Investigating how safekeeping systems can ensure that digital files remain unaltered and are protected from corruption or tampering. This will include exploring backup solutions and disaster recovery mechanisms.
- Access Control: Evaluating the effectiveness of role-based access controls (RBAC) and how they restrict unauthorized access to valuable digital assets.
Methodology:
- Conduct interviews or surveys with IT security experts at Safe Custodian and similar services.
- Review the digital infrastructure and security policies of Safe Custodian.
- Analyze case studies of past data breaches or security failures in online storage systems, comparing them with Safe Custodian’s security framework.
Expected Outcome: The project will provide recommendations for improving digital security measures in online safekeeping platforms, ensuring better protection for client assets.
